OMG! Tantra 10x. Kabalyero level 35
November 25, 2006

With
the experience gain set to 10x, my character (Kabalyero) reached level
35 in just a few hours of play. If I continue playing, Kabalyero will
be at level 100+ in a week or even less but I don’t think I’ll be able
to do that. I still have tons of things to do like play other games for
example, hehehehe!
I did play Tantra before and guess what, my old character is still
there but I did not play him. I decided to create a new one in Samadi
(server name). The new Kabalyero is an Asura. I don’t know much about
Tantra’s characters but I think an Asura is much closer to a swordsman.
Hey, you know me. I’m a one sided RPG player. If a character doesn’t
have/use a sword then that character isn’t for me, he he he!
I never liked Tantra’s graphics before but maybe that’s because of my old VC (video card) but now it’s kinda nice.
Killing
monsters here and then doing some quest there and back to killing
monsters again. I haven’t really interacted with anyone just yet.
Anyway, most of them were very busy powerleveling their own characters
to interact with anybody.
Battling Orcs till 48
November 25, 2006
From 1:00 am to 5:00 am I was logged in the virtual world of Supreme
Destiny and during those hours, my character, Kabalyero spent the time
killing Orcs and Trolls and was able to gain 18 levels. Reaching level
40, my character was awarded 2 new quests. The Graveyard Quest and the
Orc Castle Quest. After spending a few minutes trying to look for an
entrance into the Graveyard, I gave up and just powerlevel my
character. Anyway, the quest was for characters level 40 to 75 so I can
just go back to it any time.
My
character, Kabalyero, also gained a new skill. He now have 3 skills
and all are under the Sword Magic Mastery. I’m trying to concentrate on
just 1 set of skills and try to see what comes of it. One thing I
noticed is that his normal attacks deal more damage than his skills.
He also acquired a new set of armors. Most of which were dropped by monsters. Just so you know, monsters don’t drop that often.
In
terms of gold, not very much. In fact it’s a mere 20k. Earning gold is
a pain because just like with item drops, gold don’t drop that often
too. Most of the time you’ll get nothing from killing a monster except
maybe experience points.
Kabalyero, Level 30 in Supreme Destiny
November 25, 2006

After
the very slow download of Supreme Destiny’s installer at e-Games
download site, I was able to install, play and reach level 30. As of
the moment, gaining levels in Supreme Destiny is very, very fast. This
is because of an item that boost experience gain by 100%. The
experience box is like a gift from e-Games to all Open Beta players.
Just visit the storage NPC and you’ll find it in there together with a
lot of potions and a Horse that will expire after 3 days when
used/equipped. I don’t know the level limit of Supreme Destiny but with
the current high experience gain, the server will be filled with medium
to high level characters in no time. I hope my character will become
one of them. [View Screenshots Here ]
3 Characters at Level 11
November 25, 2006

Finally,
all of my characters in Rakion Online are now at level 11. The last one
to reach level 11 is CellOverlord. Why is it important to reach level
11? Well, it’s not really important. I just want all of them at level
11 so that all of them can use the armor set I bought. With that set
aside, I can now concentrate on a single character but which character
will it be. Hmmmm????
The Price of Absolute Power
November 22, 2006
How much money will you spend on a virtual item just to
achieve "absolute power"? Today, I saw a post at Khan Online
Philippine’s Official Board selling a level 140 set for Mickos. A
mobile phone number was given and out of curiousity I sent a text
message to the seller offering 1,500 PHP for it. I was surprised at the
reply, the price given to me was 6,000 PHP for the set.
What I did is just out of curiousity. I’ve been seeing
a lot of these kind of offers being posted on the board and since I
don’t know how much these items worth in PHP, I decided to send a text
message and find out and find out I did. I never realized since now
that Khan’s virtual items could cost or worth that much. I thought that
it would only cost a few pesos and I believe that players are buying
these items because if not then these type of trading would have died
long ago.
Everyday, you’ll see at least 1 of these
posted at the board. Though the moderators are quick in closing illegal
trade threads and banning forum accounts yet it doesn’t discourage
these players from posting their offers. Forum account banning is not
enough to discourage nor stop these blackmarket/illegal traders from
posting. I guess they think that they can always create a new one.
Blackmarket
trading of virtual/in-game items isn’t new. In fact, there are many
websites that deal with this type of trading. It’s big business.
I
guess it all boils down to whatever makes a particular gamer/player
happy. If achieving power in an online game by blackmarket trading
makes them happy then who am I to stop them. It’s their money, they can
do whatever they want with it but always be very, very careful when
engaging in this kind of transaction. There are hundreds of scammers
out there and the game publisher won’t and can’t help you if something
goes wrong.
With those warnings in mind, are you ready to buy from me now? He he he!
Full Action - Rakion Online
November 22, 2006
I’ve
been playing Rakion Online this past week and I must confess it’s
addictively fun. It’s not an MMORPG but more of a casual MMO in the
tradition of GunBound, FreeStyle, etc. It also has the feel of
Counterstrike but instead of an AK and a Glock the characters wield
swords, bows, daggers, hammers, etc.

Title: Rakion Online Philippines
Site: rakion.mobiusgames.net
Style: Fantasy/Medieval MMOG
Genre: Full Action
Publisher: Mobius
Developer: Softnyx
Access: Free 2 Play
I
forgot how I came across Rakion but I think I clicked on some ad
somewhere which took me to Rakion Online Philippine website. The site
looked interesting so I downloaded the game, registered, installed and
started playing. I also installed it on another PC so my kids can play
it too.
Medieval Counter-Strike
If you’ve played and
enjoyed Counter-Strike then you’ll definitely enjoy Rakion. I’ve read
that Rakion is like GUNZ but since I never played Gunz I’ll just use
Counter-Strike instead.
In Rakion, there are no rifles, no
submachine guns, no pistols, no grenades, no shotguns all you have is
yourself, your armor, your trusty old sword (hammer, bow, dagger, etc),
and your God given playing skills.
Almost everything in Rakion
feels like Counter-Strike to me maybe because I haven’t played any
Counter-Strike like games for years. I don’t know but whatever that is
I like it.
Choose your Champion
In Rakion Online you can choose any of the following:
- Warrior
- Blacksmith
- Ninja
- Archer
- Mage
Well,
you know me, I only know 1 class and that’s the Warrior/Knight/Swordman
type. The warrior looks so cool and I like the fact that it’s very easy
to use. I tried playing my son’s mage and I couldn’t make any sense of
it. I guess the mage is just not for me. The Blacksmith is a pretty
strong character. It can break a Golem in seconds. The Archer is pretty
good in breaking another player’s momentum with their cheap shots. The
Ninja is pretty fast and I’ve seen a Ninja that loves to grip/grab a
lot. The Mage has powerful attacks and they can heal. I just love
running after these small guys.
I have 3 Warriors and each with
a different build and they are all at level 11. I’m experimenting with
Attack Power + Attack Speed, Attack Power + Movement Speed and Cell
Destruction + Cell Point. Anyway, it doesn’t really matter as long as
your play defensively then you’ll get by eventually. You might even get
a few kills here and there.
Prepare for Battle
The types of battle available in Rakion Online are:
- Stage
- Team Deathmatch
- Solo Deathmatch
- Boss War
- and Golem War
They
are almost self explanatory. My favorite is Golem War. I get a lot of
experience and gold to spend in a Golem War and I like the fact that
you don’t have to kill every player to win. You just need to protect
your Golem and to destroy the other team’s Golem. The team that
destroys the other team’s Golem wins.
Experience and Gold
Yup,
as you battle you’ll gain experience points that will level up your
character. When you level up, you’ll get bonus status points which you
can use to further build your character. You’ll also receive gold which
you can use to purchase better armors, weapons, accessories and cells.
Rakion Online may have some RPG flavor but I feel that it’s more of an
online action game much like FreeStyle than an online RPG.
Share your Stuff
I
love the fact that all your characters share the same inventory and
having 3 characters with the same class is a real budget saver. My 3
characters share the same armors, weapons, accessories and cells and
because of this I am able to save a lot of gold. If I’m going to use a
different character, I’ll just unequip everything and move it in to the
inventory then change character and just equip it back on the new
character.
Lights, Camera, ACTION
Rakion Online is
full PVP action. There is no need to level grind, no need to wait a
certain level to enjoy PVP. You get in and you fight and to top that it
has nice 3D graphics. Low levels and high levels can wage war against
each other in Rakion Online. Just set the game to Basic Mode and the
playing field is even. Now, it’s skills versus skills and level is
not a factor anymore.
Bandwidth HOG
Unfortunately,
Rakion Online uses a lot of bandwidth. I’m on DSL and I still see a lot
of RED and 999. I just can’t see a dial-up user enjoying this game.
Cheats, Hacks and Everything Nice
These
are the ingredients that can make a game SUCK bad. Yup, there’s just
too many cheats and hacks. Have you seen a low level summon 3 Golems? I
have! Have you seen 1 character being ganged up by 6 and still kill
everyone? I have!
Game On
I know Rakion Online does
not fall under the MMORPG category but it has all the flavors of an
MMORPG like the medieval/fantasy look and feel, character building,
PVP, etc. The only thing missing is a persistent world to put it in but
still it’s a very addictive game and best of all it’s absolutely FREE to PLAY!

Eudemons Online
November 22, 2006

I spent 6 hours playing Eudemons Online. Eudemons Online is a Free 2
Play MMORPG and like all F2P games they have an item shop or an item
mall but you don’t have to spend anything to play and/or enjoy Eudemons
Online. In my 6 hours of non-stop playing I was able to reach level 27
and here are some screenshots of my adventure in Eudemons Online.

Site: www.eudemonsonline.com
Publisher: NetDragon Websoft Inc.
Developer: NetDragon Websoft Inc.
Access: Free 2 Play
What is Eudemon Online?
Some information from the official website:
The
Eudemons Online is a fantasy MMORPG. In this mythic world, you can
choose to become a Warrior, Mage and Paladin. Command your heroes and
eudemons to adventure on the vast land of Atlantis and challenge the
power of sword and magic.
In Eudemons Online, hundreds
of weapons and spirit gems can be yours. Only the believer and the
protector can have them. Make weapons of your own and bring their power
into full play!
Grouping, mentoring and rewarding and other various systems guarantee the Eudemons Online highly interactive and full of fun!
What
makes Eudemons Online unique are the eudemons. Eudemons are monster
like pets that assist you in combat. Unlike with other MMORPG where you
must first gain a required level to have acquire a pet in Eudemon
Online you’ll start with 2 pet monsters on your side. My character is a
warrior and I have 2 WarriorAtkDef eudemons when I started now at level
27 I have 7 eudemons assisting me in combat. Also, you can converge
with your eudemon to become much stronger. Converging is like combining
with your eudemon to become one. You’ll damage stronger and become
tougher.
Death! Arrggghhhh!
In Eudemons Online death
means losing a lot of items. Yes! If you die a lot of your items will
drop for everyone else to pick up. I died twice, the first time was not
to irritating because the items I dropped were returned to me by a
partymate who picked them up but I wasn’t so lucky the second time, my
new partymate looted everything then disappeared.
Leveling Fast!
Reaching
your character’s next level isn’t much of a grind. You can go solo and
still level-up fast. Your XP Skill will even boost your experience gain
faster and don’t forget that your eudemons are there to help you kill
faster. Also, the mentor system will increase your exp. gain by 20%.
Lots of Monsters to Kill
Monsters
are everywhere and they respawn fast too. You can find a group of
monsters to kill and then just wait because they’ll respawn right back.
I was able to level-up my new eudemons this way.
PK! PK! PK!
This
game is not for cry babies because once your character reaches level 30
then you are free to kill. Yes, anyone can kill you. You can even be
killed inside towns. So always keep your guard up.
Messy Screen
Eudemons
Online’s GUI (graphic user interface) is not very neat. It has too many
stuff on it. Chat messages at the bottom, some system messages appear
on top, GM messages appear somewhere in the middle, etc. Anyway, I did
not notice it that much, I guess I was so busy slaying monsters.
Dated! No Angle??? Diablo? Maybe!
Eudemons
Online’s graphics is dated but not prehistoric and the game looks 3D
but you can’t change camera angles just like with MU Online. You can
zoom in and out, though! Not being able to rotate or change camera
angle is a bit annoying and at time irritating especially when you are
behind an object bigger than your character. There’s no eye candy in
Eudemon Online but it still looks better than Legend Ares (I just wish
the camera can be rotated).
Music? SFX???
To be honest, I turned off the music. I just don’t feel Eudemon’s music.
The best part of all!
The
best part of Eudemons Online is that it’s free. Yup! You don’t have to
spend anything to enjoy Eudemons Online. I must confess, in my 6 hours
of playing Eudemon Online I had fun. I partied with some other players
which I enjoyed and the urge to continue playing was starting to build
up but of course I have to stop myself before I get addicted, hehehehe!

Carpe Diem, English Server - UK
November 21, 2006
Finally, I received my Invitation Key Code to Carpe Diem’s Beta Test
Server. I’ve downloaded Carpe Diem’s installation file which is quite
very small for a game like this. It’s only 250MB. Here are some screenshots I took from the game. Enjoy!
I played the game for about 10 hours (rough estimate) in 3 days and
I was able to reach level 21. As always, my character of choice is a
Knight.
Character creation is very easy and has a nice, colorful
interface too. you can choose from 3 races; Human, Dragonblood or Fey.
Humans and Dragonbloods have males and females but Feys are a female
only race. After creating my character I got transported into the game
world where I was greeted by a bunch of other players that were busy
killing chickens. Yes! Killing chickens! I kinda joined them and gained
a few levels and some items too.
The interface is easy enough to
use and the game guide is just a click away. If you have some questions
then you can click on the Game Guide button to find the answer although
the Game Guide is not as comprehensive as we would want it to be but
still it’s a big help for newbies.
Strolling around town you’ll
find other characters/players, NPCs and some unclaimed pets wandering
freely. There are 3 kinds of pets in Carpe Diem; Horse for Humans,
Minotaurs for Dragonbloods and Bears for Feys. You need to be atleast
level 10 to claim a pet. With that in mind, I went out of town and
killed a lot of Wolves which looked like a LaWolf found in Flyff.
Reaching level 10 I went back to town to find an NPC named Clouzer
which would promote me to a Knight and teach me some basic skills which
includes the Riding Skill that’ll enable me to ride and capture a pet.
Levelling
is not much of a grind but the hunting areas are designated and limited
making players crowd a certain hunting area although monsters respawn
quite fast but if there will be thousand of players then there will be
some major bottlenecking.
Mounted combat is what sets Carpe Diem
apart from other MMORPGs. You can ride and fight or you can dismount
and fight on foot. Also, being mounted gives you some combat bonus but
you won’t be able to use some of your skills.
Carpe Diem has a
good crafting system worth exploring. I wasn’t able to try much of it
since I was to busy levelling my character but I was able to refine and
forge a few.
The graphics feel a little dated. The textures are
not that smooth. It’s like a cross between Legend of Ares and Flyff.
The effects didn’t really amaze me and that goes for the sounds too.
Gameplay?
If you’ve played other MMORPGs then you’ve played Carpe Diem except for
the mounted combat and other stuff added to it. Anyway, Open Beta is
next week and if I still have access then I’ll continue playing and
maybe reach level 50 and get myself a Unicorn. For now, I urged
everyone to give Carpe Diem a try! Why not? It’s free until it goes
Commercial!
